Today, I addressed the Annual Meeting of Heads of Mission in Helsinki. I encouraged the heads of Finland's missions abroad to take an active role in advancing Finland's interests. International organisations are instruments through which a small country like Finland can maximise its influence. We must not turn in on ourselves and focus solely on our own security. Our security cannot exist without European security. We must build a stronger and more secure Europe. We must not stand by and watch the international system erode. We must actively defend it and help renew it.
