Truly an honour to host the first-ever JEF Leaders’ Summit in Helsinki.
The Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) is an important part of Finland’s defence cooperation.
At today’s Summit, we discussed the role of the JEF in a changing security environment.
In addition to the leaders of the JEF nations, the meeting was joined remotely by Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy contributed with a pre-recorded video message.
The JEF nations remain committed to supporting Ukraine and strengthening security in Eastern and Northern Europe, all the way to the Arctic.
