I received the Freedom House Leadership Award today at the Presidential Palace and had a good discussion with CEO Jamie Fly.   The award was presented to Finland earlier this year in recognition of its principled leadership and its commitment to defending freedom, democracy, and human rights.   I am deeply honoured by this recognition from a respected organisation, that has devoted itself to the promotion of freedom and democracy around the world.
