What do a looted gold coffin, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Kim Kardashian have in common?  In 2017, the Met paid nearly $4 million for what it believed was a rare Egyptian coffin with a legitimate provenance. But the paperwork had been forged, and the artifact had actually been looted during the Arab Spring.
