Truth be told, I don’t think this — or this week’s incidents with Pr Milei — change a single vote either way. People will vote for other reasons (inflation, crime, corruption etc). The bigger impact is strategic and diplomatic — if Lula does win reelection, all this reinforces Brazil’s push toward China and India and diminishes U.S. commercial presence. 4 years is a long time. Trump & Milei making big bets.
