At the University of Brasilia for the week. Two days done, teaching first undergraduates and then postgraduates in the international relations faculty. This is the building and department in which Ruy Mauro Marini, Teodoro Santos, and Vânia Bambirra taught dependency theory and Marxism. The campus is built by the absolute genius of the communist architect Oscar Niemeyer and others.
And then, there is a Park for Poets, but all three of them are Chilean - Mistral, Neruda, and Huidobro.
Tomorrow, with Alejandro Barrios and Jörg Nowak, I will talk about how to theorise the Global South in this conjuncture. This is at 2pm at the auditorium of the IREL building.
