Happy World Post Day! On 9 October we honour more than 4 million postal workers around the world who keep us connected, day in, day out, come rain or shine. The post is the world's largest physical distribution network, built on the universal service obligation – YOUR right to send and receive mail at an affordable price. But the universal service obligation is under threat and jobs are at risk. We're calling on governments to protect our postal services and for the forthcoming EU Delivery Act to ensure that private operators using public postal networks pay their fair share. #WorldPostDay 2026
