According to a release from UKMTO, there was an incident 121nm east of Duqm, Oman involving military forces and a tanker. Per the release, “the tanker was subject to interaction as a part of ongoing military activity in the region.”
While no commensurate release has been made by CENTCOM or the EU’s Operation ATALANTA, prior such releases from UKMTO have come after an interdiction or disabling of a tanker by U.S. forces participating in the blockade of vessels traveling to and from Iran.
