Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nepal and Tibet following the devastating Himalayan glacial collapse and resulting flash floods that have claimed more than 360 lives, with approximately 1,400 people still missing. On behalf of the people of Guyana, I extend our heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the governments and people, of Nepal and China, especially the families who have lost loved ones and all those affected by this terrible tragedy. We also keep in our prayers the rescue teams working tirelessly in extremely difficult conditions to find those still missing and bring relief to affected communities.
