Today, I accepted the Letters of Credence from His Excellency Enri Tica, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Guyana. In our subsequent meeting, we discussed strengthening and expanding the longstanding bilateral relationship between Guyana and Peru. I highlighted my Government’s vision of positioning Guyana as a global leader in climate action, biodiversity, energy, food security and human capital development, with technology and innovation driving our transformation. We also explored opportunities to deepen collaboration between the private sectors of both countries. I expressed my hope that we can soon establish a comprehensive development framework that advances our shared priorities and strengthens cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
