Public service is a calling that demands courage, integrity and commitment to the people we serve. Today, I was pleased to join in honouring Commissioner of Police Sonia Boyce with the Order of the Republic, in recognition of her leadership, dedication and distinguished service to Barbados. Congratulations, Commissioner Boyce. May this honour serve as a reminder that at the heart of public service must always be the people, the responsibility to uphold the rule of law, strengthen public trust and build a Barbados where every citizen can live in peace, safety and security.
