At the Third Edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity at the Vatican, I emphasised on the urgent need to embed compassion at the heart of our global agenda. In a world rich in knowledge and experience, it is unacceptable that millions of children are still out of school. We have no dearth of knowledge. We have enough experience. Then why can’t we ensure every child is in school? Whose children are they? They are our children. Compassion is a powerful force, borne from feeling another’s suffering as one’s own and taking mindful action to end that suffering. Compassion is the only way forward. @Pontifex
