It was a pleasure to host the Ambassador of Portugal, H.E. Mr. João Ribeiro de Almeida, and the Consul of Mexico, H.E. Mr. Pérez Ramos, at Bal Ashram today. Ambassador Almeida, who has visited Bal Ashram before, shared how deeply his first personal visit stayed with him. He reflected on meeting children who had emerged from the darkest circumstances. In addition, a group of 30 Mexican educationists and writers, led by renowned author and journalist Mr. Javier Moro, also spent a day at the Ashram. In a world divided by borders and troubled by conflict, we must remember that we share one home and belong to one human family. If we have globalized markets and economies, we must also globalize compassion. Let us walk together as co-marchers, learning from one another and ensuring that no one is left behind.
