Yesterday, I interacted with young people in Mumbai about my autobiography, Diyasalai. The event was organised by an interesting group, Bookchor. During the discussion, a bright young lady asked me, “Tell me what compassion is, and why does it matter?”
I answered, “Compassion is a mindful and selfless act of problem-solving. When the souls of individuals and institutions are shrinking, compassion is like oxygen. In a broken and divided world, compassion can be a bridge that can bring us together.”
