🌍 Peace, security and social justice in Africa On 6 August, Eric Manzi, Deputy General Secretary of the ITUC, took part in an international conference on peace and security in Cotonou, Benin, held on the sidelines of the World Social Forum, which took place from 4–8 August 2026. The conference highlighted the essential role of trade unions in promoting peace, preventing conflict and advancing social justice across Africa. The discussions also showcased the importance of strong cooperation and solidarity within the African trade union movement, including the work of @ITUC, @ituc_africa, CSA-Benin and other affiliates their contribution to building greater synergies among trade unions. @manzieric65
