My current hypothesis on the Turkish-US-Israeli attack on Syrian govt is (a) Erdogan's been itching to do this for a while, (b) for Washington, the strong punch against Syrian govt is a diversion from the looming loss in Ukraine (think *Grenada 1983* as a diversion/morale-booster, after the ignominious US withdrawal from Lebanon), and (c) all 3 actors v. happy to break the Ground Lines of Communicatn between Lebanon/Hizbullah and Iraq/Iran. None of these three gives a toss about the wellbeing of the people of Syria...
