I would like to make a statement about swans. Most people know they're among the most beautiful animals, but they are also behaviorally fascinating.
We had two couples, but one of the females died a year ago, and they instantly turned into a throuple. They are never more than a few feet apart from each other.
Now one of the females is brooding/incubating eggs for 22 hours a day on this makeshift island in the middle of the water, so the other two spend all day swimming and standing vigilantly by, not even allowing the ducks or anything else to enter. Thank you for listening to my statement about swans (yes, the water needs improving; dog footage bonus).
