I have been asked, this possible to serve "dual hats" - both PGA and your home country? And has it happened before: The answers are yes, and, yes. It's happened on several occasions....including with Bangldesh! Humayun Rasheed Chowdhury, 41st session (1986–87) was the Bangladesh foreign minister while serving as PGA. Miroslav Lajčák, 72nd session (2017–18) was Slovakia's foreign minister while also PGA. Abdulla Shahid, 76th session (2021–22): Maldives foreign minister, stayed in post while presiding as PGA. There are a few more examples as well. Fun fact: When Chowdhury served as both PGA and Bangladesh foreign minister in the 80's his personal secretary was....Khalilur Rahman.
