Afghan American activist Masuda Sultan recalls her shock as a New Yorker following the 9/11 attacks, as well as the grief of losing 19 family members when the United States bombed their home in Kandahar.
"I was sure it had to have been some terrible mistake, and I thought as soon as this was understood that there would be some kind of resolution or help or apology coming to our family," says @MasudaSultan. "That apology never came."
