Three years after October 7, we mourn every life lost. We mourn the Israeli civilians killed on October 7. We mourn the Palestinians killed in Gaza in the years since. And we refuse to accept that one people’s grief can justify the destruction of another. Western governments that condemned the killing of civilians on October 7 have continued supplying Israel with weapons as Gaza has been devastated and tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed. Today must be more than a day of mourning. It must be a demand to stop the genocide, stop the weapons, and in the words of “Mother” Jones: “Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living.” Free Palestine.
