Together with the @ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric, and with even greater urgency, I renew my call on States to establish specific prohibitions & restrictions on autonomous weapon systems. We are now dangerously close to crossing a moral red line: the autonomous targeting of humans by machines. Innovation must serve humanity – not endanger it.
