“There are a lot of voices within Iran today, particularly in the security services, that are talking about returning to the original principles of the revolution, self-reliance and self-dependence, and that leads only to one direction: an autonomous nuclear capability,” warns Ray Takeyh.
“One thing that the Iranian regime recognizes coming out of this war and the last one: if they had the bomb, they wouldn't keep getting bombed.”
