I am deeply saddened by the passing of Robert Redford. His generational talent as an actor and director entertained and enlightened audiences around the world for decades, and his passion for independent film and documentaries played a historically crucial role in transforming them into powerful tools for change. And most significantly, he used his skills and extraordinary popularity to focus public attention on the fate of humanity and our planet.  He inspired people around the world to take action to protect the environment and address the climate crisis. I feel lucky to have called him a friend. To Sibylle and his family, to his friends and his fans, may we hold his memory close and may we each do our part to continue his work.
