If Donald Trump really wants to avoid World War 3 and de-escalate tensions with Russia, beyond ending the NATO proxy war on Russia through Ukraine, Trump must understand that the basis for the state of crisis in US-Russia relations is the US’ disrespect for Russia’s core security interests.
So long as Russia remains ringed by NATO, after a long history of facing invasion after invasion from the West, US-Russia relations will remain in a state of perpetual crisis.
