H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, today welcomed the #AUMediaFellowship Cohort 3.0 to the AU Headquarters, marking the start of their study tour and engagements with AU officials and key partners.
In his remarks, the Chairperson underscored the powerful role of African journalists in shaping the continent’s narrative, affirming that the future of Africa’s story must be written by Africans. He congratulated the 22 Fellows from 18 AU Member States who are part of this dynamic cohort, recognizing their commitment to advancing bold, solutions-driven storytelling that reflects Africa’s ambitions under #Agenda2063.
As they begin their journey at the African Union, the Fellows join a growing network of African storytellers helping to amplify Africa’s voice, deepen public understanding of continental priorities, and bring the work of the Union closer to African citizens. #AUMF
