#Mali: We deplore the reported torture & killing of dozens of surrendering soldiers by the Touareg-led Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) & the Jama'at Nusrat Al-Islam Wal-Muslimin (JNIM) in the Gao region on 18 July. Killing, torturing or abusing individuals hors de combat is a war crime. There needs to be a thorough, independent investigation, and accountability.
