Today, I participated in the 2026 #HLPF side event on Civil Society, Civic Space, and the SDGs, where I stressed that “the distance between today’s commitments and tomorrow’s outcomes will not be measured only by investment or innovation. It will also be measured by participation.” No society has ever achieved sustainable development through governments acting alone. We must ensure that civic space remains open and participation remains real. #SDGs
