I participated today in the side event, “From Dushanbe to HLPF & Abu Dhabi – Harnessing Multilateral Processes to Accelerate Water Action for Sustainable Development,” where I stressed that “Water lies at the heart of sustainable development. It underpins health, food security, energy, resilient ecosystems and economic opportunity.” I also emphasized: “As we look ahead, we must translate dialogue into implementation.” Achieving #SDG6 requires stronger institutions, greater investment, science-based decision-making, and inclusive partnerships. We must sustain the momentum from Dushanbe through the #HLPF and into Abu Dhabi to accelerate water action for the #2030Agenda.
