Today, I participated in the #HLPF side event, Accelerating Action for Mountain Regions: Delivering on the Five Years of Action (2023–2027), where I stressed that “the future of mountains is inseparable from the future of sustainable development.” As we look ahead to the 2027 SDG Summit, mountain regions must receive greater attention in global climate and sustainable development efforts. Protecting mountain ecosystems is essential for water security, food security, clean energy and climate resilience. #SDGs
