Today marks one month on strike for UAW Local 2192 members at Lorain County Job and Family Services, and county commissioners' continual refusal to negotiate in good faith is putting critical public services at risk.
Workers are demanding a one-dollar-per-hour wage increase to bring them closer to the pay levels of comparable Ohio counties, yet LC commissioners would rather jeopardize the health and safety of their constituents than treat their workforce with the dignity and respect they deserve.
