We cannot have double standards when it comes to the Recovery and Resilience Plans. Right-wing political parties cannot insist that every RRF milestone must be respected when it suits their Governments, and then ask the European Commission - for personal political interests - to intervene when a democratically adopted reform, which respects the rule of law, does not suit them. Putting €770 million for Romania at risk over a domestic political dispute is not responsible European politics. European political families should respect the rule of law and the decisions of judicial systems, and the successful completion of the RRF. We ask for the total respect of the rule of law. Romanian citizens should not pay the price for political double standards.
