It’s time to end homelessness. We welcome today's Council recommendation on addressing housing exclusion and homelessness. There are more than one million homeless people in the EU, including almost 400,000 children. Our housing and social protection systems fail to provide adequate housing, and this ultimately leads to homelessness. This is a profound violation of human dignity.
