Manfred Weber and his friends in the extremist right are trying to bring ICE-style migration policies to Europe. Working with extremists, like the AfD, in a Whatsapp group, the EPP made a deal which removes safeguards and dismantles fundamental rights. We will not vote for it.
Europe must stand by its values, not compromise with anti-European forces to undermine them. While the EPP claim to fight the "Patriots" in Hungary, they are making deals with them in Brussels.
We call on the EPP to rethink its position and rejoin the pro-European groups to work together on a Return Regulation which would guarantee dignity.
