Our message is clear: If we allow our climate legislation to be watered down at the first sign of pressure, we will only make ourselves more vulnerable. The regulation was agreed years ago. Reporting requirements are no excuse to blame EU climate action for gas supply risks. A delay must not become a rollback. Keep companies accountable for methane leaks. Methane is one of the most powerful greenhouse gases, and cutting its emissions is one of the fastest ways to slow global warming.
