A LETTER TO THE STUDENTS AND WORKERS OF BANGLADESH
Dear comrades and friends:
Congratulations on your amazing triumph in removing a corrupt Prime Minister. Once a people that are resisting lose their fear of death anything is possible and the unrests spreads to the ranks of the army and other state forces. Then a corrupt, cornered leader has no option but to flee the country. Hasina was not given a friendly reception in India. Modi who used to refer to her as 'our sister' gave her short shrift, a clear sign that RAW agents in Bangladesh are predicting that the Awami League is finished for the immediate future. She has been denied asylum in Britain (anything to do with Starmer's recent remarks on too many Bangladeshis are still getting here?) She is now heading for Finland.
Students of Bangladesh, it is your courage and consistency that has won you this victory. A few words of advice. Do Not Trust the Army. Do not trust the so-called opposition parties. They are no different. Rely on your own strength. Create a popular assembly in which
you are amply represented . It's not over. And if the Army announces an interim government demand that you are a majority in it. If they refuse, take to the streets again. This is a historic victory. Do not let anyone steal it from you.
