Al Jazeera asked to interview me to discuss the Islam Quintet. The discussion covers the history of Islam in Europe and China which forms a permanent backdrop to the novels of the Quintet. This is a history which was largely erased for many centuries, but mark Islam made in Spain, Portugal, Sicily, and many other parts of Europe remain visible. Watch the interview:
