In my own life experiences, as a student of economic history, and now as the seventy-ninth Treasury Secretary, it is my firm belief that financial literacy is what fuels the American Dream. My family and I have supported financial literacy around the United States for decades, and it is an honor to elevate this issue as part of the U.S. G20 Presidency. @POTUS is creating an ownership economy where all citizens become shareholders in America’s wealth. With the landmark @TrumpAccounts, every American born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, is eligible to receive a $1,000 contribution from the Treasury Department that will be immediately invested in an index fund. These investment accounts also create a real-time laboratory of financial literacy for all Americans, providing students with a hands-on education in the power of compound growth.
