Self-interested politicians ignored working people when we demanded better infrastructure, potholes fixed, affordable healthcare and child care. There is seemingly ALWAYS an excuse for why things that prioritize the lives of working people can’t be done. But somehow, the funding for new data centers is readily available. The same tech companies who continue to lay off workers as they make record profits are now terrified we’re uniting to stop data centers.
