My nephew Michael Hines was born with cerebral palsy. He came into this world with every strike against him, and yet he never had an unhappy day. He was a luminous soul, sent by God to teach us all how to live in gratitude and love. He died a week before his 21st birthday in May 2024. His organs went to nine recipients and saved two lives, including the mother of an intellectually disabled child. His heart went to a nine-year-old boy. After a lifetime of giving the gift of love, he died giving the gift of life. Orlando. April 2024.
