I bought this 1989 25’ Boston Whaler for peanuts at a police auction in 2001 when the Federal Park Service sold its Lake Mead patrol vessels to make room for new equipment from the post-9/11 Terror War windfall. My kids grew up on Chumbucket, the perfect craft for fishing, skiing, diving, wakeboarding, etc. She is stable and rugged, with a steel strip down the center keel that makes her safe to beach. If you hit a rock, the rock will break. Every autumn, my kids drove her down Long Island Sound and up the Hudson to overwinter in Ossining. #GetOutside #LiveRealLife
