I am horrified that a man intentionally drove his car into the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway last night. I am grateful there were no victims and the perpetrator has been taken into custody. Although motivation has not yet been determined, I pray that this was not another despicable act of antisemitism, which has become sadly, increasingly common.
My thoughts are with the Jewish community across New York and the world, as this attack further heightens a shared sense of anxiety. We must ensure the Jewish people are able to practice their faith without fear.
