The recent Cyclospora outbreak demonstrated why it's vital to have research institutions dedicated to protecting Americans' health and safety, such as BARC's food safety lab in Maryland.
My colleagues and I call on USDA to reverse its decision to shutter BARC so this critical research can continue.
