102 suicide attempts. 24 deaths by suicide. In just the first half of 2026, among refugees in Uganda alone. For refugees who've already lost so much, it doesn't take much more to lose hope entirely: funding cuts ending vital support, lack of food and clean water, obstacle after obstacle just to rebuild a life once already taken from them. Many can't go home because it's still not safe, and the door to resettlement is nearly closed too. Many are left feeling stuck. One death by suicide is one death too many.
