A Secretary-General who does not listen cannot deliver. This is what I told 45 parliamentarians from 27 African countries who joined the Africa’s Parliamentary Community in Dialogue moderated by Hon. Neema Lugangira. We went through Africa’s priorities on global governance, peace and security, financing for development, climate, youth and technology. Parliaments approve budgets, ratify treaties and answer to voters. They are an essential line to the people we serve. I expressed my firm commitment to Africa and to strengthen the United Nations partnership with its organizations.  I closed with a commitment to them that holds for parliamentarians in every Member State: "I don't have all the solutions, but I will find them with you." #newUN
