Across my conversations at #UNGA81 last week, one point kept coming back: the United Nations will be judged by what it delivers.
Three things follow from that.
Reform should be measured in results: faster responses, better coordination and services that reach people and countries when they need them.
Regional organisations are often closest to a crisis. The United Nations works better when their knowledge shapes the response from the start.
We don’t lack resolutions and commitments. What we need is clear accountability, responsibility lines and timelines for implementation and follow-through.
The task now is to deliver on what has already been agreed. #newUN
