Last night, we held the final class of "People Vs. Billionaires," our free 5-week political education series for Socialist Summer School. We marked its conclusion with the class "Building A Socialist Society" led by Tanya Núñez. All summer, we essentially asked one question: how do we transform society in favor of the needs of the working class? Our answer has been straightforward…through organization. We know clearly that when we organize, we win. We launched this series conscious that the system is at an unprecedented breaking point. Capitalism's dead-end logic is on full display, but so is the resurgence of working-class struggle. We learned that we have everything we need to build a new and socialist world. We have the productive capacity, the resources, the science, and more. What's been missing is the collective power to put our developments to work for all of us, instead of for the profit of a few. Tanya made it clear for us, socialism is not a distant dream but an immediate possibility.
