THREADS OF PALESTINE: AN INTRODUCTION TO TATREEZ w/ ABEER KHADER
Join Jordanian architect, designer, and cultural researcher Abeer Khader for a hands-on introduction to Tatreez, the traditional Palestinian art of counted-thread embroidery. Designed for complete beginners as well as participants with prior embroidery experience, this three-hour workshop introduces the cultural significance of Tatreez, the materials and techniques used in counted-thread embroidery, and the process of reading and stitching a gridded motif.
