Congratulations to Sophia Christodoulou Makri on her election as leader of @edek1969! She makes history as the first woman to lead our sister party in Cyprus and the youngest President since EDEK was founded in 1969. Having served as EDEK Youth leader, she brings a strong commitment to progressive politics in this new role. We look forward to working with her to advance our shared vision for a fairer Cyprus and Europe.
