🇪🇺 Europe cannot afford to normalise the far-right. 🗳️The result in Saxony-Anhalt is another warning: across Europe, far-right parties are growing stronger and moving closer to power - or, in some places, are already governing, enabled by conservatives and liberals. What does that mean in practice? 🌍When the far-right tells children that they do not belong because of where their parents were born, social democrats will defend their equal place in society. 🌈When people are targeted because of who they are or whom they love, we will stand up for their freedom and equal rights. 🤝When neighbours are turned against one another, we will choose solidarity over division. ❌The far-right offers scapegoats where people need solutions. Our answer is decent jobs, affordable housing and living costs, strong public services and safe communities. 🙋‍♀️This is not someone else’s problem. It is about the society we want to live in - and the Europe we want our children to inherit. ✅We choose hope over fear. Together, we will defend a society in which everyone belongs.
