We must keep supporting Ukraine and ensure it has the strength to defend itself and achieve a just and lasting peace.
At the same time, Europe needs more integrated and stronger defence capabilities to protect our citizens and our values.
For social democrats, defence is about more than weapons. It is about human security, peace and protecting people’s lives and our social model.
This was the message of PES Secretary General @giacomofilibeck to #CamPuS26 in Blois, at a roundtable discussion on defence.
